The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the North Iowa Fairgrounds in Mason City, Iowa. The event, which is open to all Veterans, is established to provide support, resources, goods, and assistance to those who have served in the military, and to their families. 

Dave Gaubatz Memorial Benefit Saturday September 23rd from 11 AM until 4 PM at the Clear Lake VFW. This is a benefit to help alleviate the expenses of Dave's 1 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. There will be a meal, bake sale, silent auction, and the acoustic live/DJ music of Jesse Calvert.

Apple Cider and Donut Day at the Kinney Pioneer Museum on Sunday September 24th from 1:00 PM until gone. Crafts, apple butter making, blacksmith and broom makers. Adults 5 dollars and kids are 3 dollars.

Applefest on Saturday September 30th in Plymouth. Applefest features vendors, food, music, kids activities a car show and more! Presented by the Plymouth Betterment Committee.

When Pigs Fly fundraiser benefiting the North Iowa Children's Museum on Saturday September 30th from 9AM until Noon at Plain Ol' Pumpkins in Clear Lake.

Mollie's Mission Golf Tournament on Saturday September 30th at the Pioneer Town and Country Club in Manly. 10:00 AM start time, cost is $200 per team.

Mason City Talons (formerly Mason City Tribe) is hosting a basketball Rec League from Oct. 3rd-19th. Talons is an extension of the Mason City Boys & Girls Basketball Programs and will be run by their staffs. 1st-2nd Graders will participate in basketball related games and skills. 3rd-8th Graders will participate in practices & equal play games.

One Vision Children's Autism Center Annual Halloween Party on Friday October 6th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Plain Ol' Pumpkins in Clear Lake.
