Our weather will turn much more active Monday Night and Tuesday when periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected. Some of those storms may be severe at times Monday night with a Slight Risk (2/5) of severe weather and scattered severe storms possible west. Large hail would be the primary severe weather threat Monday night.

Additional thunderstorms are anticipated Tuesday however, when numerous severe storms will be possible central and south. Large hail, damaging wind, and some tornadoes will all be possible by Tuesday. Although confidence in details and timing is low at this lead time, the most favored time for severe weather Tuesday would be during the afternoon. With this being the first higher end potential for severe weather this season, it would be a good idea to ensure you have a severe weather plan in place with multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings and have safe shelter identified nearby.
