The North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the North Iowa Fairgrounds in Mason City, Iowa. The event, which is open to all Veterans, is established to provide support, resources, goods, and assistance to those who have served in the military, and to their families. 

Dave Gaubatz Memorial Benefit Saturday September 23rd from 11 AM until 4 PM at the Clear Lake VFW. This is a benefit to help alleviate the expenses of Dave's 1 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. There will be a meal, bake sale, silent auction, and the acoustic live/DJ music of Jesse Calvert.

Apple Cider and Donut Day at the Kinney Pioneer Museum on Sunday September 24th from 1:00 PM until gone. Crafts, apple butter making, blacksmith and broom makers. Adults 5 dollars and kids are 3 dollars.
