CLEAR LAKE — A North Dakota woman is in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on drug charges.

26-year-old Nyennmueh Pyne of Fargo was arrested on Saturday morning after a traffic stop for speeding on Interstate 35 near mile marker 197 north of Clear Lake. A criminal complaint states the officer noticed a strong marijuana smell coming from the vehicle and a search allegedly turned up several plastic baggies that each held 20 hydrocodone pills. A further search revealed multiple scales were also discovered.

Pyne was charged with possession with the intent to deliver illegal drugs, a drug tax stamp violation, as well as misdemeanor charges including speeding, no valid driver’s license and no valid registration.

Pyne is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a total of $15,300 cash-only bond. She’s due in court for her preliminary hearing on December 6th.
