Confidence is increasing for an appreciable winter storm Friday into Friday evening that would result in significant travel impacts. However, uncertainty regarding the storm track and temperatures at the surface and aloft limit the forecast of exact precipitation type and expected amounts at this time. The potential storm is still four days out, so the primary message at this point is to continually monitor upcoming forecasts as the event nears and also be prepared for the possibility of significant travel impacts toward the end of the week.

Things WILL change before the end of the week since the storm is still 4 days out.  But below is a prediction on snow amounts for our area.  Please monitor the latest forecasts this week as things will change.  We will keep you informed on Star 106 and right here on mystar106.com all week.
