Video For “Old Town Road” Coming Friday As “Game Of Thrones” Versions Go Viral

(Game of Thrones Spoilers Ahead) Lil Nas X has announced that his six-week #1 hit “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, will finally get a video this Friday, and it’s not a moment too soon: Game of Thrones-themed memes and videos featuring the song are already going viral.

On Sunday night’s episode of Game of Thrones, there’s a wordless scene where Arya Stark stands in the middle of a street in King’s Landing, with death and destruction all around her. The only other thing that’s moving is a beautiful white horse. The two eye each other, and then Arya approaches it. We then see her riding off down the street on the horse’s back, her destination unknown.

This of course, was a cue for fans to re-cut the scene using “Old Town Road” as its soundtrack. Others simply tweeted that the song should have been playing as Arya rode away.

The rapper also announced that he’ll be dropping an EP with a handful of tracks. As for his debut album, he says, “i’m tryna have it out like extremely soon. it will be dope give me a lil more time.”
