The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $1.73 billion after no one won the top prize in Monday’s drawing.

This marks the 35th consecutive drawing without a winner, with the last jackpot being won on July 19.

The current streak falls short of the record of 41 draws set in 2021 and 2022.

The largest Powerball jackpot ever was a $2.04 billion prize won in California in November 2022.

The $1.73 billion prize can be paid out over 30 years through an annuity, or the winner can choose a cash option of approximately $756.6 million for the next drawing on Wednesday.

Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
