Natural gas explosion damages Mason City home

MASON CITY — Authorities are continuing their investigation into a house explosion in Mason City earlier this morning.
Firefighters and police were called to the 500 block of North Adams shortly after 8:30 after an individual who called 9-1-1 reported a possible fire or explosion.
Authorities believe a natural gas explosion caused significant damage to the home. Nobody was home at the time of the explosion.
The incident remains under investigation.
