A photo of a polar bear napping atop a tiny iceberg has been named the year’s top wildlife photo.

The photo, “Ice Bed”, has won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award. It’s the work of British photographer Nima Sarikhani, who snapped the sleeping bear off the coast of Svalbard, Norway.

London’s Natural History Museum called it “a stark reminder of the integral bond between an animal and its habitat.” Sarikhani said “Whilst climate change is the biggest challenge we face, I hope that this photograph also inspires hope; there is still time to fix the mess we have caused.”
