Moderate Snow Possible Monday Night into Wednesday for portions of North Central Iowa

A second and stronger winter storm is expected to track near Iowa late Monday night into Wednesday. Though moderate or higher snowfall amounts will be possible with this storm in or near Iowa, there remains lower confidence on the exact location and snow amounts expected with this storm. Winds on the backside of the storm Tuesday into Wednesday will create additional impacts with any snow that falls. Blowing snow and lower visibility will accompany any snowfall.

Chances for snow will return to the area Tuesday and Wednesday, with impacts to travel possible across portions of the area. At this time, the greatest chance for higher snow accumulation is across southwest Wisconsin into northeast Iowa, though this axis could shift. If you are planning travel across the region into midweek, please pay close attention to later forecasts.
