Mason City man dead after three-vehicle accident Sunday

MASON CITY — A Mason City man is dead after a three-vehicle accident southwest of Mason City on Sunday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at about 2 o’clock on Mallard Avenue between 240th and 250th Streets. 26-year-old Martin Ross of Mason City was driving northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line, colliding with a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Jeffrey Robak of Plymouth. Another vehicle following Robak, driven by 17-year-old Kaleb Badker of Ogden, hit the side of Robak’s vehicle.
Ross was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Robak and Badker were transported to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation.
