Investigation continues into fatal Mason City crash

MASON CITY — The investigation continues after one person died and three people were injured after a single-vehicle accident on the city’s far east side Friday night.
Chief Jeff Brinkley says officers were called shortly before 10:45 PM to California Avenue just south of State Highway 122, where they found a vehicle had rolled over, two persons had been ejected from the vehicle, and two others were still inside the vehicle. All four were taken to MercyOne North Iowa, with one person being pronounced dead at the hospital, with the condition of the other three not being immediately known.
The names of those involved in the crash are not being released at this time, pending the notification of relatives.
