Gusty Winds With Snow Thursday And Friday

After a mild start to this work week, active weather arrives with the passage of a strong low pressure system. Rain and snow will start Thursday. Additional snow showers will then occur Friday afternoon. While there is still some uncertainty, the highest accumulations are expected in northern Iowa, with lesser amounts southward. In addition to snow, northwesterly wind gusts of 35 to 45 MPH are possible. Gusty winds will arrive Thursday morning, and continue through Friday afternoon. Gusty winds during periods of snow showers will reduce visibility, making for difficult travel. Expect slick road conditions as well Thursday and Friday.
