Gasoline prices in the US have dropped for the fourth consecutive week, with the national average falling 11.3 cents to $3.55 per gallon, according to data from GasBuddy.

The average price is down almost 30 cents from a month ago and 30.9 cents lower than a year ago.

The national average price of diesel has also fallen, dropping 5.8 cents in the last week to $4.48 per gallon, 55.2 cents lower than a year ago.

GasBuddy’s head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, said that while oil prices rose last week, he expects further declines in gasoline prices, although this depends on unforeseeable events such as the conflict in the Middle East.
