Cold air will once again return to Iowa this weekend as arctic air spills into the state. The combination of very cold temperatures and wind will produce bitter cold wind chills both Saturday night, potentially through Tuesday night, across much of Iowa. Sunday and Monday nights will likely be the coldest, as wind chill values may fall to between 20 to 35 below zero across the area.

This can lead to frostbite within 15 to 30 minutes to exposed skin.

Dress warmly and provide shelter to any outdoor pets!
