Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that Chris Rock once asked her out on a date because he believed she and her husband, Will Smith, were getting a divorce.
Pinkett Smith clarified that the rumors were false, and Rock apologized for the misunderstanding.
The incident occurred after Pinkett Smith called for a boycott of the 2016 Oscars due to the lack of diversity in nominations.
Pinkett Smith now admits that she may not have been aware of the pressure Rock was under as the host of the awards show.
She also mentioned that Rock tried to apologize to her during a break in the 2022 Oscars ceremony.
