MASON CITY — The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors is scheduled Tuesday to approve the county’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The proposed Fiscal Year 2020 budget would spend $36.1 million, $1.3 million more than what was budgeted for the current Fiscal Year 2019 budget.

Under the proposed budget compared to this year, $582,000 more would be budgeted for secondary roads as well as $282,000 more for the Sheriff’s Department operations.

A full presentation about the budget will be followed by a public hearing and the supervisors considering adoption of the budget.

The supervisors meet tomorrow at 10 o’clock in the boardroom on the first floor of the courthouse.
