Blizzard to near blizzard conditions; accumulating snow and strong winds today

Significant travel impacts will continue, especially this morning and over western Iowa. Blizzard to near blizzard conditions continue over the western half of the state as snow and strong winds create areas of blowing snow and significantly reduce visibility. For areas of eastern Iowa, there will be less snow and wind and conditions will not be as severe, but hazardous travel conditions are still expected. Snow will come to an end late today into tonight from west to east across Iowa and winds will also gradually decrease through the day into tonight.
